Enola Holmes 1–3 (Netflix, 2020–2026)
Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock’s younger sister, with Henry Cavill as Sherlock.
The Holmes family has room for one more detective, and she is better at it than her brothers expect.
You want a family film night, and you would like the detective to be Sherlock's younger sister.
What it keeps and what it changes
Keeps: Sherlock and Mycroft, Victorian London, and — in the third film — a Watson and a Moriarty.
Changes: the lead. These films are based on Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries, and Sherlock is a supporting character.
Whose story is it?
Enola’s.
How much time does it ask?
Three films. Netflix’s own pages carry all three; the third, set in 1886, is on the service now.
Helena Bonham Carter plays Eudoria Holmes; in the third film Himesh Patel is Watson and Sharon Duncan-Brewster is Moriarty.
