Every Pride and Prejudice adaptation, in one list

All 35 of them, spanning 1940 to 2026: editions of the novel, films, television, a web series, modern retellings, sequels, a play script, manga and comics, recordings and a card game. Grouped by how you would take each one in, oldest to newest inside each group. Every entry has its own guide.

What counts as a version of Pride and Prejudice here: anything that uses Austen’s characters or her plot, or that comes straight out of one of the adaptations, as Bridget Jones and Austenland do. Regency romance in general is not on the list.

Also out there, and not the pick yet

This comes up whenever the novel does. It is not on the list above, and here is the reason.

Pride and Prejudice (Netflix, 2026)

Dolly Alderton’s six-part series, directed by Euros Lyn, with Emma Corrin as Elizabeth, Jack Lowden as Darcy and Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet. It sits down here for one reason: Netflix lists its premiere as 3 December 2026, so nobody can watch it yet. Once it is out, it moves up the page.

If you want the novel itself

Which edition should you read? puts Penguin, Oxford, Norton, the annotated editions and the rest side by side. Every one is the complete novel; they differ in what comes with it.
